Shefveland Pitches the Capital Campaign

Ken Shefveland, President of the Pilchuck Foundation has spent quite a bit of time explaining the “Capital Campaign” being put together to help save the Granite Falls Police Department.  Early today,  he was in front of the local news media detailing how the Foundation will raise the money (personal pledges from the caring public) and how it will be made available to the police department (grants for equipment and training).

Meanwhile, Catherine Anderson of Granite Falls has taken a lead role in the project.   She is working feverishly behind the scenes getting pledge cards, stickers, banners, and other related items prepared so as to begin the campaign in earnest once the City Council endorses the city police department and votes down the outsourcing contract.
